The place where you choose to say ‘I do’ is so much more than a pin on a map. It’s more than just a floor plan for decorated tables, space for the dance floor, or a patch of ground to accommodate a guest list. A wedding venue is the living backdrop for the most incredible day of your life; it is the home for the memories you will hold closest to your heart, and the wild, wonderful landscape where your greatest adventure begins.

Spring at Edenwood Ranch is unlike anywhere else. Life is blooming everywhere, from the spotted little fawns dancing through fields of clover to the sweet smell of flowers buzzing with bees and butterflies. I had always dreamed of a rustic spring wedding where life and love could bloom side by side in the beauty of nature. When the time came to choose a wedding venue to celebrate our wedding, there was no question, no hesitation, for we knew Edenwood was where we wanted to share our special day.

One of our favorite parts about Edenwood as our wedding venue of choice was the ability to have all of our close friends and family stay on site in the beautiful, rustic cabins. They truly are breathtaking, with views of the ranch from every window. Guests loved being able to make our wedding not only one special day, but a whole weekend of activities, adventure, and celebration.

On the days leading up to the wedding, we enjoyed UTV rides to find wildlife, mornings by the pond trying to catch a fish or float on the paddleboards, and late evenings by the campfire, enjoying the serene sounds of the woods at night, paired with s’mores, laughter, and good conversations with friends and family. Edenwood offers great ways to decompress and escape between moments of preparation and planning, and being surrounded by everyone that we loved so dearly was one of the most memorable experiences.

On our special day, the staff at Edenwood made things run so smoothly. Not only had they helped with the planning prior to our weekend, but they were a vital part of how seamless the party itself felt. They were great at communicating and listening closely to what we needed and wanted. They helped with many tasks throughout the weekend and truly made us feel so cared for and celebrated. All of our vendors had wonderful things to say about Edenwood as well, commenting on the kind staff and unique location.

At our reception, we shared a meal under the tent in the beautiful spring afternoon before dancing under the stars with everyone we loved. The evening was absolutely perfect in every way. The scenery, the vibes, the food, the dancing, and the obvious joy on each of our guests’ faces. One of my favorite parts of the night was walking down to the pond, barefoot in my wedding dress, husband in hand, to take a moment for ourselves on the dock as the guests were leaving for the night. I can still hear the frogs peeping and the distant killdeer trilling as I took in a large breath of fresh air and breathed out the many emotions of the day, while wrappedin a blanket of God’s creation.
